The Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED) convened the first-ever Doing Business Forum on 28th November 2024 at Golf Course Hotel, Kampala.

The forum served as a platform for Uganda’s public and private sector actors to reflect on reform milestones, share challenges, and chart a forward-looking agenda for improving the business climate. Key reforms showcased included digital transformation in land, business registration, and tax administration.

Stakeholders emphasized the need for enhanced digital infrastructure, SME support, and inter-agency coordination. The forum reaffirmed Uganda’s commitment to becoming a competitive investment destination by reducing barriers to enterprise growth and promoting inclusive private sector participation.
