Small Business Recovery Fund
Description
Fund was launched on February 24, 2022.
The fund aims to facilitate access to finance directly to 50,000 MSEs (at least 40% women and 30% youth) with an objective to shorten the recovery trajectory of youth and women-owned and operated businesses from the COVID-19 pandemic effects, by providing their businesses with much-needed capital injections.
Beneficiaries
Small businesses operated by individuals, groups, partnerships and companies, employing between 2-49 people and with an annual turnover of UGX 10 million to UGX 300 million
How Money is Accessed
Through participating financial institutions, which include all the Commercial Banks, Licensed Credit Institutions and microfinance
deposit-taking institutions regulated by the Bank of Uganda
