INVITE (Investment for Industrial Transformation and Employment)

Description

  1. This is a collaborative program between the Government of Uganda, the private sector and its development partners; The World Bank Group, SIDA, UK Government, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.
  2. INVITE aims to create private sector manufacturing jobs and increase incomes across Uganda. INVITE will achieve this by supporting manufacturing and exporting firms.
  3. INVITE will operate a range of products through the private sector foundation Uganda and the Bank of Uganda INVITE Trust.

How Money is Accessed

  1. The Funds will be accessed through the banks, the project has not yet determined which banks the funds will be accessed through because the INVITE trust is not yet operational.
  2. Project offers a variety of products to support manufacturing firms in Uganda. These products include loans, credit guarantees, and technical assistance.
